At Parkes Estate Agents, we know the property market moves fast, but every now and then, it's important to pause the viewings, put down the floorplans, and focus on the team that keeps everything running. So, we swapped our suits for fascinators and headed to Ascot for a company day out filled with team-building, bonding, and a bit of friendly competition (and not just when racing to be the first to book in a new instruction!).
From the moment we arrived, it was clear this was going to be a day to remember. With spirits high and outfits sharper than a newly renovated penthouse, the team jumped into team building activities that got everyone working together - no gazumping allowed!
Whether it was problem-solving tasks, light-hearted games, or just navigating the betting slips with the same precision we apply to tenancy agreements, it was brilliant to see everyone collaborating outside the usual day-to-day. We even had a few internal competitions... though thankfully, no one tried to gazump their own teammates.
The races gave us a chance to relax, cheer each other on, and (for once) place bets on something other than the London housing market. There may have been a few near misses, but luckily no one ended up in negative equity by the end of the day!
As always, the highlight was simply spending time together. laughing, connecting, and reminding ourselves that behind every successful letting or sale, there's a brilliant team of people working together.
Whether we're negotiating offers or picking winning horses, one thing's clear: we're in it for the long run.
Here's to more shared memories, teamwork, and perhaps a few more Ascot wins next time (though we're better at closing deals than picking winners...).
